I've finally uploaded a profile pic for Dream Width: a picture of me playing out at a gig in December 2011. The beard is gone, but I still have the Martin :-). I think this picture was taken during the second set; I'm not sure what song I was playing at the time.
Aside from joining DreamWidth to keep in touch with my friend Josh, I was also interested in the idea that this is a place where people make things (code, literature, essays, music, etc.) or discuss making things. I think that's exciting, and I want to be a part of it.
So, in that spirit, I offer a picture of something I made, however humble that may be. My kids and I made a new batch of tie-dye shirts this past weekend. I used Procion dyes, which are always awesome, and we had a blast (the kids wore their shirts to school today, the first day that they're ready). My main purpose was to have something to wear to my next gig tomorrow night (the owner of the place gave me one of their official shirts, and I dyed it with a red, yellow, and purple swirl).
Here's a picture of my favorite shirt:

I think maybe tie-dye banner (king-size flat sheet) is in the future: to hang as a backdrop behind the band.
And I think I'll continue posting stuff I made, or comments about making things (is there a blog title somewhere in there?).
